Acceptable Use Policy

SMMWORK is a social media consultancy service for brands and creators. This policy sets the boundaries of how you may use it. Where this policy and our Terms of Service differ, the stricter rule applies.

You may use SMMWORK to commission and manage consultancy work for social-media accounts, pages, channels or content that you own or are authorised to manage on behalf of a client, including:

• engaging work for accounts and links you control, or for clients who have engaged you and consented to the work;

• briefing your consultant on goals, brand guidelines and the channels in scope;

• requesting reports, revisions and follow-up work within the scope of your package or retainer;

• funding a retainer and using it across any package or service category we offer.

You may not use SMMWORK, or any service engaged through it, to:

• commission work for accounts, pages, channels, links or content you do not own and are not authorised to manage;

• target another person or organisation without their consent, including for harassment, defamation, brigading or reputational harm;

• promote or amplify content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, defamatory, or that sexualises minors;

• promote or amplify sexually explicit, pornographic or other NSFW adult content, or content promoting illegal goods, weapons or controlled substances;

• commit fraud, deception or impersonation, including imitating a real person or organisation in a misleading way;

• inflate metrics in order to deceive advertisers, sponsors, investors, platform monetisation programmes or any other party that relies on those figures;

• manipulate elections, referenda, public-health information or other civic processes;

• infringe anyone's intellectual-property, privacy or other rights, or otherwise breach applicable law;

• circumvent, probe or attack the security of SMMWORK, any social platform or any third-party system, including scraping, credential stuffing or unauthorised system access.

Every social platform sets its own terms, and those terms apply to you independently of this policy. Engaging our services does not exempt you from them, and it remains your responsibility to check what is permitted for your account before you engage.

We never ask for, and you must never provide, the password or login credentials of any social account — work is delivered using the public link or username you supply. Each package carries a compliance note indicating our assessment of platform-policy risk; that note is guidance, not a guarantee, and the decision to proceed is yours.

We provide consultancy services under an agreed package or retainer. We do not guarantee any specific outcome, retention rate, delivery speed or business result, and any timelines we share are estimates only. Results vary by account, content, platform and category.

Platform behaviour can change at any time and may affect engagements already in progress. Where an engagement cannot be completed, our Refund Policy governs what is refunded to you.

We may review account activity for compliance with this policy. Where we find a breach, we may cancel or refuse work, restrict access to the service, limit, suspend or terminate the account, withhold or reverse any retainer balance or fees associated with the breach, and cooperate with lawful requests from authorities — with or without notice, depending on the severity.

Repeated or deliberate breaches, and any attempt to disguise a prohibited use, will normally result in permanent termination without refund of fees paid for the offending work.
